As the creator of Dear You, I feel it’s important that children’s voices are heard and that we nurture a safe space for people to exchange, make, and be. I come from the mindset that creating interpersonal connections and meaningful experiences will not only empower oneself through the enhancement of social and emotional skills and creativity, but allow for empathy to grow and to be eventually used as a tool to build solidarity within and beyond Europe.

Exposure to all the great ideas and amazing energy people have to make innovations flourish is pure inspiration and gives me motivation to develop Dear You in a better way, more inclusively, and all the while having fun! With that said, I find it very important to self-educate and expand my horizons as an artist and as an educator so I have been putting my efforts, since spring 2020, in being a HundrED Ambassador and HundrED Academy member.

HundrED, a not-for-profit organization, which seeks and shares inspiring innovations in K12 education, features innovative education projects from all over the world.

In a fast-changing world, education must adapt to help children thrive. The world is full of inspiring innovations, but they can struggle to spread beyond their immediate environments. That's why HundrED identifies impactful and scalable K12 innovations and helps them spread.

Special thanks to Pukhraj Ranjan, HundrED’s Head of Community & Impact, Katija Aladin, HundrED’s Education Specialist & Researcher, and Mariah O'Mara, HundrED’s Head of Media for being so attentive, patient, and offering such valuable professional guidance to all of us within the field of education, innovation and togetherness.

I have so much to learn, experience, and reflect upon. Never a dull moment in my world :).

My best,
Arlene
